Secret Santa

If Santa ever listens to me
I'll tell him I want you this Christmas

Immortal memories of your love
Incense the temple of my heart
The easiest word is love
And the saddest word goodbye

I try to remember your voice
From the last time we talked
All those intonated bedtime sagas
Preachings and mild chidings
Edifications and learnings
And the taste of your delicacies-
The secret essence of ambrosia
Was known to none but you.
And now
When I return home from school
I'll call you and you won't be there
Now I know that's another world.

There is so much I can recall
But I wish I got to know you more
And as I smile
Beholding your portrait
I like to believe
That you're smiling back. :)
